Pastor Fred Gray and his wife Jennifer moved to Suffolk, Virginia in 2018 after serving Open Door Baptist Church in Richmond Virginia for 35 years. Fred came to know the Lord in 1982 through the ministry of Open Door Baptist Church, and shortly after trusting Christ as Savior, he began to serve in the ministry there. His years of service at Open Door Baptist Church included ministry within Commonwealth Christian School, serving as the Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and then Senior Pastor before moving to Suffolk. Currently, Pastor Gray considers it a blessing to serve the Body of Christ at Southside and seeks to reach the Suffolk community.
